The Soapbox Poets value freedom of expression, each other and their audience. They greatly encourage any group or individual who starts an artistic project with the intention of furthering expression as a conduit towards creating social change.
 Through creating and sharing, The Soapbox Poets strive to promote their love of music through a genre of music dubbed beatbox driven soul. Blank Space holds down the driving edgy beats that merge with Random Adjective’s husky vocals to ensure that a performance by The Soapbox Poets is unlike many others.

Odditory Presence  spit thru the mic from the meetingplace of the personal & political, serving spoken word & sweet vocal harmonies on top of fat beatbox'd flavours. With moods ranging from irreverence to sincerity, the Odditory crew embrace the mundane alongside the bizarre, touching on topics such as love, loss, interspecies genocide, toilet-paper & self-empowerment. Embodying the gleeful expression of a toddler in the midst of a pots & pans solo, Odditory Presence revels in crashing stuffy poetry readings "like a beat-boxing bull in a China shop."
Members RadaR, PeSt & strong cottonwoods draw powerful influences from SLAM Poetry, conscious hiphop, the punk movement & the D.I.Y. ethic, and can be found throughout Victoria, BC, haunting alleyways, open mics, dumpsters & bookshelves in search of new ingredients to add to recipes proven to inform & inspire.
