TRUDY NORMAN

Trudy has been a dancer, at least in her mind, since age three. Always large, she never felt comfortable and shied away from dancing in public. That all changed when she took her first dance lesson with Lynda Raino at age 39.

A founding member of Big Dance, she has performed, and toured with the company since its inception in1993. With numerous appearances, her favourites include an interview with Diane Sawyer on Good Morning America and performing “The Four Graces” nude in San Francisco. Currently, Trudy is into hip-hop and is lured by tango.
 
With a graduate degree in psychology, Trudy moved from mental health and addictions counselling to management in social services. She has recently completed a certificate in Project Management and works in both the public and private sectors.
 
Trudy is also an avid practitioner of yoga and qi gong.  She integrates spirit in her work and personal lives and hopes at some point to share her experiences with others in a more formal way – perhaps writing a book!  Passion for dance, and life, could lead her anywhere.
